I just wanted to drop in a thank you to John Mayes and anyone else that chimed in on my thread a while back regarding bending Sapele sides.
I bought a couple of new blankets and wired everything up to my timer and rheostat. I brought the temp up to about 240-250 and started the bend and voila, everything went smooth as silk.
I think the problem was with my single 2.5 watt PSI blanket. I was just drying the wood out before I got it anywhere near hot enough to bend.
So now I have the blocks and lining glued in and will be installing the top and back tomorrow.....unless the contractor call and has me rushing back and forth across town again.
Thanks everyone!
